Uniroyal wins 4x4 tyre test

Uniroyal has been awarded top honours by Germany’s leading off-road magazine. The Uniroyal Rallye 4x4 Street won the tyre test against other premium, quality and budget brands to be named “Exemplary”.

The Germany’s largest selling 4x4 title tested tyres in 215/65 R16 size on a Toyota RAV4 at Continental’s Uvalde proving ground in Texas. The facility offers optimal off-road test conditions for 4x4 tyres.

The magazine commented on the Uniroyal Rallye 4x4; “balanced ‘onroad’ tyre with high aquaplaning protection, short braking distances and astonishingly good traction on gravel”.

This is not the first time that AutoBild allrad has spoken highly of the Uniroyal Rallye 4x4 Street. In a test published in March, the tyre was found to be ‘exemplary’ in the 225/55 R17 size as well. The magazine said; “very well balanced all round ability, with high safety margins on aquaplaning, short braking distances on wet & dry roads.”
